Brazilian producers are negotiating rebar for export to South American countries in a range of $540/mt to $550/mt, against $540/mt last week, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, a local market source told SteelOrbis.
In August, Brazil exported 35,300 mt of rebar in average at $534/mt, FOB conditions, with different quality grades and price deals probably closed in June.
Brazilian rebar producers remain focused on exports to South American countries, as an alternative to compensate for the poor demand from the domestic housing sector.
