The reference price for Brazilian rebar exports is currently in a range of $570/mt to $580/mt, against $490/mt to $500/mt three weeks ago, FOB conditions for the CA-50 grade, for sales to South American countries.
In November, Brazil exported 24,700 mt of rebar, against 26,300 mt in October. The exports in November were all destined to South American countries, of which 13,000 mt shipped by Gerdau at $490/mt and 11,700 mt by ArcelorMittal at $519/mt, both FOB conditions and different quality grades.
In November, Brazil imported from Turkey 11,300 mt of rebar at $467/mt, FOB conditions.
The last import rebar offer from China was priced at $540/mt, against $530/mt three weeks ago, CFR conditions to a port in the South or Southeast coast of the country, with reference to the QC/HRB400 grade.
In the domestic market, rebar is offered by producers in medium to large volumes at BRL 4,883/mt ($957/mt), against BRL 4,493/mt three weeks ago, ex-works, full taxes except IPI, for the supply in the country’s Southeast and South regions. For the North and Northeastern regions, prices are reportedly BRL 120/mt higher, under the same conditions.
