Bangladesh domestic rebar prices trend up

At the end of Q3 2018, SteelOrbis reported that domestic rebar prices in the Bangladesh market at BDT 56,000-56,500/mt ($668-674/mt) ex-works Dhaka from medium sized mills excluding additional regional taxes.

Sources report that domestic rebar prices increased in October, remained relatively stable in November (BDT 57,000/mt ($685/mt) ex-works on November 20), but then suffered a slight downturn in December (BDT 56,500/mt ($673/mt) ex-works on December 20). The offers have reportedly improved over the past two weeks and are now at BDT 57,300-57,700/mt ($683-687/mt) ex-works Dhaka from medium sized mills excluding additional regional taxes. Compared to late December, prices have increased $10-14/mt.
