Following the break for the Eid holiday, the Turkish flat steel spot market started to resume business in the middle of the week, but trade has been quiet as the holiday mood had persisted across the country. Market participants believe that no changes will occur this week, but that next week's pricing and demand will reveal how the market will evolve. Meanwhile, due to the general gloomy outlook caused by slowing demand and economic concerns, further rises are considered difficult to achieve in the coming weeks.
In accordance with this week's workable prices, which are at $610-620/mt ex-warehouse, the bigger dealers are reported to be offering at about $620/mt ex-warehouse, while medium-sized and smaller traders are offering at roughly $610/mt ex-warehouse.
Meanwhile, in the cold rolled sheet segment, most sellers have decided to keep offers stable at $720-745/mt ex-warehouse compared to the previous week.
