Offers for imported HRC prices in the Asian market, which is now focused on demand from Vietnam and China, have moved further down today, April 3, as suppliers have been trying to attract customers in the region due to weak demand in other markets in Europe, Turkey and the Middle East. Ex-Russia big coils have been available at $380-390/mt CFR Vietnam, while yesterday market sources were mostly assessing the price level at $395/mt CFR. Negotiations for Russian small coils are still at $370/mt CFR in Vietnam.

Ex-India SAE1006 HRC has been offered to Vietnam at $390/mt CFR, while previous deals for products of this origin reported earlier were signed by traders at $395/mt CFR.

Chinese trading firms have been collecting offers for import HRC. The tradable value has been at $380/mt CFR, sources have said, versus deals for Indian and South Korean HRC at $395-400/mt CFR earlier.

As a result, the SteelOrbis weekly HRC price in the Vietnamese market stands at $380-395/mt CFR, taking into account recent offers and deals early this week.
