Over the past week, flat steel offers to Turkey from overseas producers have continued to increase as a result of the upward movement of prices of raw material and flat steel in the global market. Although Turkish mills have also continued to raise their prices, Turkish buyers still consider import flat steel offers to be on the high side and prefer to meet their needs from the domestic market given the advantages in terms of prices and lead times.

Ex-CIS hot rolled coil (HRC) offers to Turkey have moved up by $32.5/mt on average week on week. Ukrainian HRC offers to Turkey are currently at $540-545/mt CFR and Russian HRC offers to Turkey stand at $550-570/mt CFR. Meanwhile, ex-CIS cold rolled coil (CRC) offers to Turkey have increased by $25/mt on average week on wee, with Ukrainian and Russian CRC prices are now at $580-585/mt CFR and $590-600/mt CFR, respectively.
