The Brazilian producers are negotiating HRC exports with their South American clients in a reference price of $1,100/mt, FOB conditions for the basic commercial grades, stable over the last four weeks.
In September, Brazil exported 77,600 mt of HRC, in average at $1,048/mt, while importing 27,400 mt of the product at $1,083/mt, both FOB conditions.
Sources mentioned that the focus of producers has moved to the domestic market, reflecting the increased demand from different industry sectors.
In the Brazilian domestic market, HRC of the basic commercial grades is offered at BRL 6,600/mt ($1,189/mt), against BRL 6,700/mt two weeks ago, ex-works conditions, no taxes included. Such price refers to high and medium sized volumes of the product, when sold directly to large consumers or to distributors.
