Demand in the local Turkish pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) coil market has remained slack in the past week. With import prices of hot rolled coil (HRC) - the raw material for PPGI production - decreasing in Turkey since last week, Turkish PPGI producers’ prices have also decreased by $10/mt on the lower end this week. Meanwhile, activity in the Turkish HRC market continued to be stagnant due to Ramadan, with buyers postponing their bookings until after Ramadan. Turkish mills' local prices for RAL 9002 0.3 mm 100 gr/m² zinc-coated PPGI are at $800-885/mt, while their offers for RAL 9002 0.5 mm are at $670-730/mt and prices for 1 mm RAL 9002 are at $550-635/mt. All the offers in question are on ex-works basis, exclude 18 percent VAT.

Meanwhile, Turkish PPGI export prices have decreased by $10/mt over the past week to the range of $690-750/mt FOB, while demand for Turkish PPGI offers in the export markets is still slack.
