Zhu Jimin: Chinese steel demand to rise by 8-10 percent in 2010

Zhu Jinmin, chairman of the Beijing-based Chinese steelmaker Shougang Group, said on Wednesday, March 24 that Chinese steel demand is expected to increase by 8-10 percent year on year in 2010, thanks to the stimulus measures implemented by the government in response to the global financial crisis. However, Mr. Zhu also expressed some concerns over how long the government measures would continue to have an impact.
