Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Wuyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd (Wuyang Steel) has announced that it has completed total shipments of 8,400 mt of steel products used for jacket installation at the Liwan gas field located in the north of the South China Sea.
The Liwan gas field is the first world-class deepwater natural gas field in China. In December 2010, Wuyang Steel inked the first sales contract for shipment of 3,000 mt of steel products for the Liwan gas field project, while on April 16 this year the second contract for a further 5,400 mt was signed.
