West Coast Recycling receives state funds for new scrap facility

The Port of Sacramento, California announced Friday that the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has awarded the City of West Sacramento $2,488,625 in funds to provide public infrastructure in support of a new recycling facility.

The West Coast Recycling Group, LLC proposed the new facility which would recycle metal that is derived from retired automobiles, structural steel from demolition sites, appliances and other obsolete steel/metals. The grant was awarded on the basis of the job's that would be created from the construction and operation of the scrap facility.
