Welser opens North American branch

Welser, a manufacturer of custom cold roll formed sections and tubes made from steel, stainless steel and non-ferrous material, announced today it has set up a sales branch in the US in order to “guarantee the best and closest care for customers.”
 
With three production sites in Austria and Germany and 13 regional sales offices, Welser supplies customers around the globe with a vast range of more than 21,500 cross sections for applications from construction, industrial and environmental technology to automotive engineering.
 
The company announced that Bill Johnson has recently accepted a position with Welser Profile GmbH as the North American President and CEO. His primary responsibility will be to work with existing and new customers to finalize and elaborate the business plan that will lead to Welser Profile manufacturing operations in North America.
 
Johnson has spent the majority of his career in manufacturing operations management, but has also led the Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Quality, Customer Service, Purchasing and M&A activities. As a former President and CEO of Corrisoft, a technology company, he was recently awarded by FAST Magazine as one of the "100 most creative people in Business 2016."
