Vietnamese steel prices indicate stability despite low sales volume

According to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), the average price of finished steel products in the Vietnamese market in early June stands at VND 18-18.20 million/mt ($863.31/mt), maintaining a stable trend. The VSA also pointed out that its member enterprises' total inventory of finished steel products currently amounts to 300,000 mt.
 
In addition, finished steel product sales of VSA member enterprises in May totaled 350,000 mt, down 100,000 mt month on month. A large steel producer in the south of the country indicated that its sales of finished steel products in May totaled 50,000 mt, equal to about 60 percent of its finished steel sales volume in April.
