Vietnam Steel to establish hot rolling mill

According to recent news in the market, Vietnam Steel is planning to build a hot rolling mill at Phu My Industrial Zone, which will produce hot rolled coils of 1.5 million tons per annum. The project is scheduled to be completed by 2006 and the mill is expected to operate at full capacity by 2007. Moreover, Vietnam Steel previously started construction of a cold rolling mill at Phu My Industrial Zone. The cold rolling mill, which will start operation in the fourth quarter of 2004 will have capacity of 400'000 tons per annum.
