Vestel to supply unmanned aircraft to Turkish Army

Vestel Savunma Sanayi AS, operating under Turkish conglomerate  Zorlu Holding's subsidiary Vestel Group of Companies, has signed an agreement with Turkish Undersecretariat for Defence Industries for a project entitled Tactical Unmanned Aircraft Development Project.

According to a Vestel statement, in the scope of the $24 million project, Vestel will supply six unmanned aircraft called ‘Karayel' and three control stations to the Turkish Army in two years.

Vestel also said that the company has invested over $25 million in this field from its own sources and this reflects Vestel's long-term approach to the sector.
