Value-added industrial output in Shanxi up 6.7 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, the overall value-added industrial output of China’s Shanxi Province increased by 6.7 percent year on year, with this growth rate 2.6 percentage points higher compared to that recorded in the full year of 2018, as announced by the Bureau of Statistics in Shanxi.

Meanwhile, in the given period, in Shanxi overall value-added industrial output rose by 13.5 percent in the steel industry, by 7.2 percent in the nonferrous metal industry, and by 4.4 percent in the chemical industry, year on year.

In the January-February period this year, in Shanxi finished steel output increased by 24.7 percent, crude steel output rose by 24.4 percent, pig iron output increased by 21.8 percent, and coke output rose by 15.2 percent, year on year.
