USS Kosice is requested to reduce steel production

Market reports from the industry state that steel production at US Steel Kosice (USSK) of Slovakia is agreed to be reduced in a certain amount. Slovak government and Brussels gave this decision upon the European Commission' objections, claiming that Slovakia which will soon become a member of the EU and benefiting a long term tax exemption, makes excessive steel production through USSK. It is expected that Slovak government will soon settle the dispute with the Comission.
