US rig count falls while Canada’s increases

According to the latest report from Baker Hughes, for the week ending June 15, the US rig count fell by 13 to 1,971 and was up 111 year-on-year. Both oil and gas rigs accounted for the drop: rigs drilling for oil fell by nine to 1,405 and rigs drilling for gas declined by three to 562.

On the other hand, the Canadian rig count was up by 18 to 248, reflecting a decrease of 29 compared to the same week a year ago.
