US HRC exports increase 18.9 percent in September

US exports of hot rolled sheets totaled 71,963 mt in September, up 18.9 percent from August and up 26.8 percent from September 2015 levels. By value, HRC exports totaled $53.5 million in September, up 18.9 percent month-on-month and up 27.3 percent year-on-year.
 
The US shipped the most HRC to Canada in September, with 36,565 mt, compared to 20,770 mt in August and 18,448 mt in September 2015. Other top destinations included Mexico, with 35,136 mt; there were no other notable destinations with tonnage levels surpassing 1,000 mt.
