SteelOrbis has learned that the US Department of Commerce (DOC) has released its final determination in the administrative review of its antidumping (AD) investigation on carbon and certain alloy steel wide rods from Canada.

Accordingly, a final weighted average dumping margin of 2.44 percent has been determined for Canada's Ivaco. The dumping margin calculated in the final determination by the DOC shows no difference compared with the preliminary determination published on July 10, 2008.

The US DOC had been petitioned in relation to the imports in question by a number of companies, including Gerdau Ameristeel US and Nucor Steel.
