US DOC: Preliminary results of new shipper review for rebars from Turkey

On April 17, 1997, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed an antidumping duty order on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars (rebars) from Turkey.

On November 15, 2006, the DOC initiated a new shipper review of the antidumping duty order on rebars imported from Ege Celik Endustrisi Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S, and its affiliated export trading company Ege Dis Ticaret A.S (collectively Ege Celik). The review, which was initiated upon Ege Celik's request, covered the period from April 1, 2006, through September 30, 2006. In its request, Ege Celik certified that it did not export the subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation, which was from January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1995.

The DOC has preliminarily determined that Ege Celik did not sell the subject merchandise at less than normal value during the period of review. Accordingly, the preliminary duty margin for the producer is 0.00 percent.

Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the preliminary results.
