On April 8, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced its final results of the expedited sunset review of the countervailing duty (CVD) order on prestressed concrete steel wire strand (PC strand) from India.

On December 1, 2008, the DOC initiated a sunset review of the CVD order on PC strand from India. On the basis of a notice of intent to participate, an adequate substantive response filed on behalf of the domestic interested parties and an inadequate response from the respondent interested parties, the DOC decided to conduct an expedited sunset review of this CVD order.

As a result of the expedited sunset review, the DOC has determined that revocation of the CVD order would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy at the rate of 62.92 percent.

The merchandise subject to this order is currently classifiable under the subheadings 7312.10.3010 and 7312.10.3012 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the US.
