On April 17, 1997, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) imposed an antidumping duty order on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars (rebars) from Turkey. The DOC has received a request from Ege Celik Endustrisi Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S, and its affiliated export trading company Ege Dis Ticaret A.S (collectively Ege Celik), for a new shipper review of the antidumping duty order on rebars imported from Turkey. Ege Celik has certified that it did not export the subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation, which was from January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1995. Accordingly, the DOC has decided to initiate a new shipper review of the antidumping duty order on rebars imported from Ege Celik. The review covers the period from April 1, 2006, through September 30, 2006.
