The US Department of Commerce (the DOC) has received a request to conduct a new shipper review of the antidumping duty order on certain steel concrete reinforcing bars from Turkey published on April 17, 1997. Turkish producer of subject merchandise Kroman requested a new shipper review, claiming that it did not export subject merchandise to the US during the period of the investigation (POI) (January 1, 1995, through December 31, 1995). Upon this request, the DOC decided to initiate an antidumping new shipper review of Kroman Celik Sanayii A.S and its affiliated export trading company, Yucelboru Ihracat Ithalat ve Pazarlama A.S. (collectively ``Kroman'').
