On February 1, 2007, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated a five-year sunset review of the countervailing duty order on stainless steel bar from Italy.
On the basis of the notices of intent to participate and adequate substantive responses filed on behalf of domestic interested parties and inadequate responses from respondent interested parties, the DOC conducted an expedited (120-day) sunset review of this order.
As a result of this sunset review, the DOC has found that revocation of the CVD order would be likely to lead to a continuation or recurrence of a countervailable subsidy at the levels indicated below:
