On Wednesday, January 20, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) announced the final results of its antidumping duty (AD) administrative review for floor-standing and metal-top ironing tables from China, not making any changes in the margins in the preliminary results.

The DOC came to the conclusion that Foshan Shunde Yongjian Housewares & Hardwares Co., Ltd. (Foshan Shunde), the only concerned party for the review, is a part of the China-wide entity, for which is imposed an antidumping margin of 157.68 percent, the same as in the preliminary finding.

The period of review was August 1, 2007 through July 31, 2008 and the preliminary results of the review were issued on Tuesday, September 8, 2009.

On August 29, 2008, petitioner Home Products International, Inc. had requested an administrative review for Foshan Shunde and Since Hardware Co., Ltd. (Since Hardware) on the products mentioned. On October 29, 2008, the DOC had published a notice on deferral of the administrative review for one year with respect to Since Hardware.

In the preliminary determination the DOC found that Foshan Shunde provided inaccurate and unreliable information concerning its production costs and factors of production including its steel inputs and the long products utilized in the manufacturing process.

Ironing tables are classified under new HTSUS subheading 9403.20.0011. Metal top and leg components are classified under HTSUS subheading 9403.90.8040.
