In October of the current year, the unemployment rate in urban areas in China was 4.9 percent, remaining stable month on month and year on year, as announced by China’s National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). Meanwhile, new employment in urban areas in China amounted to 12 million in the January-October period of this year, increasing by 90,000 compared to the figure recorded in the January-October period last year.
