According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), the unemployment rate in Turkey increased by 1.3 percentage points year on year to 11.6 percent in October last year and rose by 0.2 percentage points when compared to September.
Meanwhile, in October last year the employment rate in Turkey was recorded at 47.5 percent, decreasing by 0.1 percentage point compared to the same month of the previous year.
