Ukraine’s steel industry sees increased railway tariffs in Jan-Sept

According to the data issued by Ukraine's State Statistics Committee, in January-September this year domestic railway transportation tariffs increased by 2.1 percent year on year.

However, during this period, the railway tariffs for the transportation of mining and steel products increased at a faster rate. Thus, the railway tariffs for transportation of both iron ore and ferrous metals increased by 6.3 percent, while the tariffs for coke transportation went up by 4.7 percent, all compared to January-September 2009.
