Ukraine’s iron ore exports fall

Ukraine’s iron ore producers’ association Ukrrudprom disclosed that the country’s iron ore exports fell 0.9 percent year on year to 1.45 million tons in January. Sintering ore exports decreased 1.9 percent year on year to 582,000 tons during the same period while pellet exports fell 8.3 percent to 667,000 tons. However, iron ore concentrate exports jumped 41.7 percent year on year to 197,000 tons in January. Ukrrudprom indicated that adverse weather conditions impacted iron ore exports in January.
