Ukraine’s Avdiivka Coke and Chemicals Plant eyes profit in current year

Avdiivka Coke and Chemicals Plant, a subsidiary of Ukraine's largest vertically-integrated mining and steel group Metinvest, has stated that it plans to produce 4.484 million mt of coke in 2012, compared to 4.515 million mt produced in 2011.

For the current year, Avdiivka Coke and Chemicals Plant expects to record a net profit of UAH 476.9 million ($58.56 million), compared to a net loss of UAH 258.248 million ($31.7 million) recorded in 2011.
