Ukraine utilizes almost all pipes quotas to Russia

In the first seven months of 2006, Ukraine utilized 97.76 percent of its steel pipes quota allocated by Russia, supplying 698,860 mts of steel pipes out of 715,000 mts of 2006 yearly quota. In particular, Ukraine utilized 96.98 percent of its steel pipes HS code 7304, 7305, 7306 (except for 7304 41 900, 7304 49 9100, 7305 11 0000) quota (466,280 mts out of 480,800 allocated mts), 99.34 percent of its pipes for oil and gas industry with diameter of 1,420 mm (228,490 mts out of 230,000 allocated mts) and 99.76 percent of its tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of stainless steel, cold-drawn or cold-rolled (cold reduced) (4,190 mts out of 4,200 allocated mts).
