Turkey’s wire rod exports up 25.5 percent in January-October

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 35.7 percent year on year to 85,535 metric tons, down 11.4 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $33 million, down 13.4 percent month on month and rising by 39.7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the January-October period of this year, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 826,134 mt, rising by 25.5 percent, while the value of these exports increased by 9.1 percent to $325.8 million, both year on year.
 
In the given period, Turkey's largest wire rod export destination was Israel which received 172,596 metric tons. Israel was followed by Egypt with 105,728 metric tons and the US with 91,769 metric tons.
