Turkey’s wire rod exports down 16.4 percent in January-October

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in October this year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 26.22 percent year on year to 63,015 metric tons, up 16.5 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $23.6 million, up four percent month on month and falling 21.2 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In the January-October period, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 658,077 mt, falling 16.4 percent, while revenues from these exports decreased by 36.4 percent to $298.36 million, both compared to the first ten months of 2014.
 
In the first ten months this year, the US ranked first among Turkey's wire rod export destinations with imports totaling 185,806 mt, followed by Israel which imported 155,016 mt of wire rod from Turkey, while Italy imported 41,136 mt.
