Turkey’s wire rod exports down 12.7 percent in January-November

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in November last year Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 55.6 percent year on year to 64,326 metric tons, up 2.08 percent compared to the previous month. The revenue from these exports amounted to $22.3 million, down 5.5 percent month on month and falling 3.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.


 
In the January-November period, Turkey's wire rod exports amounted to 722,823 mt, falling 12.7 percent, while revenues from these exports decreased by 34.8 percent to $320.8 million, both compared to the first eleven months of 2014.
 
In the first eleven months last year, the US ranked first among Turkey's wire rod export destinations with imports totaling 209,774 mt, followed by Israel which imported 158,499 mt of wire rod from Turkey, while Italy imported 51,458 mt.
