Turkey’s rebar exports increase 3.1 percent in January-July

In July this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 499,449 metric tons, up 43.7 percent compared to June and increasing by 15.1 percent year on year, according to the preliminary data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK). Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $233.37 million, increasing by 42.7 percent compared to June and down 4.4 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the January-July period of this year, Turkey's rebar exports amounted to 3.2 million metric tons, up 3.1 percent year on year, while the revenue generated by these exports totaled $1.51 billion, falling by 12.1 percent compared to same period of 2018.

In the given period, Turkey's largest rebar export destination was Yemen which received 540,964 metric tons, up 16.28 percent year on year. Yemen was followed by Israel with 473,546 metric tons and Singapore with 272,011 metric tons.
