Brescia, Italy-based drawn steel manufacturer Trafilerie Nave Spa will move early next year from its historical headquarters in Nave to Bagnolo Mella (Province of Brescia), where it has built a 11,000 square meter facility for production and storing activities, as well as a 1,000 square meter building for offices. The total figure invested amounts to €8 million.

"When we started the project [i.e., in 2004], the global crisis was far away and we wanted to build a more spacious and functional facility to be more competitive in the market. After the crisis, the new structure took on an even more relevant role and is going to allow us also to develop new products. We plan to move into the new premises at the beginning of 2011. Once we have moved, the old factory in Nave will be liquidated", stated CEO Domenico Grandini.

In 2008 Trafilerie Nave - one of the biggest drawn steel manufacturers in Italy - reached a turnover of €33 million. The figure dropped to €13 million in 2009 subsequent to the collapse of demand in the construction industry, which is the main market for the company, absorbing 70 percent of its sales.
