At the start of April, Jilin Iron & Steel Co., subsidiary of Jilin Province-based Tonghua Iron & Steel (Group) Ltd, commenced the construction of its 1,450 mm hot rolling project.
With a designed annual capacity of three million mt of hot rolled coils and costing a total investment of RMB 350 million ($50 million), the project is scheduled for completion within 13 months.
