Subsidiaries of Russia largest oil and gas pipe producer TMK currently operate at 70-80 percent of their capacity, chairman of TMK's board of directors Dmitriy Pumpyanskiy has told reporters, adding that the demand for pipe products is currently "equally stable" both in Russia and the United States.

Mr. Pumpyanskiy also expressed the hope that the temporary suspension of oil extraction by underwater method due the accident in the Gulf of Mexico could lead to an increase in demand for pipes used for oil extraction on land.
