The Russian pipe producer TMK has announced the shipment of the first batch of large diameter electro-welded pipes with 21.6 mm wall thickness for the onshore section of Gazprom's Nord Stream pipeline.
The pipes in question were produced at TMK's subsidiary Volzhsky Pipe Plant.
In 2008, TMK plans to supply up to 70,000 metric tons of large diameter pipes for the Nord Stream pipeline onshore section.
