The Russian pipe producer TMK Group (TMK) has announced that its subsidiary Volzhsky pipe plant (VTZ) has constructed a new section for the application of anti-corrosion coatings for pipes.

The equipment for the new section, supplied by German firm Venjakob, allows VTZ to apply the anti-corrosion coatings for 40-340 mm diameter pipes and, using a special jet printer, to apply non-contact markings with a speed of about 140 signs per second.

The new pipe coating section has a production capacity of more than 200,000 mt of pipes per year. Commissioning operations aimed at reaching the designed technological parameters are currently being carried out at the new facility.

The construction is in line with TMK's strategic investment program directed at the expansion of its market and at the creation of additional benefits for the pipe production users.
