TISCO achieves annual investment target for Shanxi ahead of schedule

Shanxi Province-based Chinese steelmaker Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co. (TISCO) has announced that in the January-August period this year its overall investments in major projects in Shanxi amounted to RMB 7.822 billion ($1.28 billion), exceeding its full-year investment target of $1.16 billion. Meanwhile, total investments by steelmakers in major projects in Shanxi Province in the given period reached RMB 337.5 billion ($55.15 billion), up 44.74 percent year on year and equivalent to 76.24 percent of the aggregate full-year investment target in the province for steel producers.
