Timken Latrobe to increase specialty steel prices

Timken Company subsidiary Timken Latrobe announced that it would increase the prices of all air melt stainless steel grades and re-melted aerospace alloys by 5 to 10%. The price increase will take effect on all new orders beginning March 15, 2005. Latrobe claims the price hikes are due to rising operational costs. The company did not disclose any change to the current raw material surcharges.
