Tianjin Rockcheck to close blast furnace under capacity replacement plan

The Department of Industry and Information Technology of China’s Tianjin city has announced that Tianjin-based Rockcheck United Steel Group will close and transfer the capacity of a 588 cubic meter blast furnace located in the metallurgical industrial park in the Jinnan district, which has an annual iron-smelting capacity of 688,000 mt.

Hubei Province-based construction steel producer Daye Huaxin Industrial Co., Ltd will be receive the capacity in question, while the capacity replacement details will be issued later by the Department of Economy and Information of Hubei Province.
