Tianjin Pipe Co. completes capacity expansion project

Tianjin Pipe Co., China's largest producer of steel pipes used in the oil and gas industry, has successfully carried out hot-firing tests for its latest capacity expansion project and all its reconstruction projects have been put into production ahead of schedule.

With the completion of the projects in question, using the most advanced tube rolling technology in the world, Tianjin Pipe Co. now has a production capacity of 500,000 metric tons of 114-245 mm × 4.0-30 mm seamless pipes, including 80 percent oil well pipes and 20 percent made up of other standard pipes such as line pipes, boiler pipes and cylinder pipes. In addition, with the construction of the largest cross-rolling tube expander in the world, Tianjin Pipe Co. has a pipe production capacity of 100,000 metric tons, including large-diameter high pressure boiler tube, mechanical pipe, structural pipe, API line pipe and large ferrule.
