Throughput at Russian seaports up 8.9 percent in Q1

In the first quarter of the current year, the seaports of Russia handled 158.6 million mt of cargo, up 8.9 percent year on year, according to the data of the Association of Commercial Sea Ports of Russia.

In particular, transshipment of coal climbed by 2.4 percent to 26.4 million mt, transshipment of ferrous metal increased by 10.4 percent to 6.9 million mt, transshipment of ore went down by 20.6 percent to 1 million mt, all compared to the first quarter last year.
