Tata Steel’s finished steel sales from Indian facilities up 10.5 percent in FY 2017-18

India-headquartered steelmaker Tata Steel has announced that in the full financial year of 2017-18, ended March 31, its crude steel production at its Indian facilities increased by 6.8 percent year on year to 12.48 million mt, while its finished steel sales totaled 12.13 million mt, rising by 10.5 percent compared to the previous financial year.

Meanwhile, in the financial year 2017-18, Tata Steel’s crude steel production at its European facilities increased by 1.13 percent to 10.68 million mt and finished steel sales totaled 9.93 million mt, remaining stable, both on year-on-year basis.

In addition, in the given year, Tata Steel’s finished steel output at its Southeast Asian facilities declined by 2.1 percent to 2.23 million mt, while its finished steel sales went down by 3.8 percent to 2.51 million mt, both compared to the previous year.
