Tangshan terminates emergency measures for improvement of air quality

The municipal government of the northeastern Chinese city of Tangshan has announced the ending of emergency measures to improve air quality, which were applied between November 25 and November 28.

Under the emergency measurements, production of sintering machines was stopped by steel mills. The Tangshan government, which has been reducing pollution via industrial output cuts, underlined that it would continue to implement various emission reduction measures between November 2017 and March 2018 in accordance with scheduled implementations.
