Tangshan Steel produces high carbon steel with FTSR production line

Chinese steelmaker Tangshan Steel announced that it succeeded in producing high carbon steel with its FTSR (Flexible Thin Slab Rolling) continuous-casting production line.

The 150 metric tons of 4.4 mm x 1,250 mm 40 Mn carbon structural steel hot rolled coils have reached relatively high levels as regards various measuring indexes like surface quality, dimension, chemicals, and mechanical properties, with the qualification rate achieving 100 percent.
