As of mid-July 2008, Tangshan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd has launched a trial program for the production of ER70S-6 drawing quality wire rod. Sulphur and phosphorus content in the steel is kept under 0.010 percent and 0.015 percent respectively. The new produced steel type is in line with internal control standards.
This ER70S-6 drawing quality wire rod has high quality and content requirements. The product is of 0.8 mm thickness with relatively high temper and extremely high purity.
